Lula’s House of Serenity was created to be more than just a place—it’s a movement of hope. Our mission is to walk alongside women who are ready to break free from addiction, reclaim their power, and rediscover who they are beneath the pain.
We believe recovery starts with acceptance, is fueled by community, and is sustained through soulful strategies that help you grow, evolve, and thrive.
From addicted and broken… to bold and beautifully whole.
Hi, I’m Rosalyn, a Certified Recovery Support Peer Specialist, motivational speaker, author, and most importantly—a woman who has lived through the storm and made it to the other side.
I spent 13 years in active addiction. During that time, I moved between abandoned buildings, motels, and the back seats of cars. I endured violence, toxic relationships, and the trauma of trading my body just to survive. But one day, I got tired of surviving—I wanted to live.
And that’s when everything changed.
Through faith, support, and inner work, I’ve now celebrated 23 years of sobriety. And today, I use my story to help other women rise from the ashes.
I’ve walked in your shoes. I know what it feels like to be stuck, ashamed, and scared.
I’ve developed tools, systems, and workshops grounded in lived experience and professional training.
I was honored with the 2024 Patricia Ann Strange Diamond Award for supporting women in recovery.
I’ve been recognized by the State of Texas and The House of Representatives for my service.
And most of all—I care deeply, because I’ve been there too.
Lula was my grandmother’s name—a strong woman who never gave up on me, even when I had given up on myself.
This space is named in her honor, to represent unconditional love, unwavering support, and the power of believing in someone until they believe in themselves again.
At Lula’s House of Serenity, we create safe, empowering spaces through:
